For Starters..

What's up everybody,

It's the start of a new semester come Monday and I'm in a writing kinda mood.

A lot of NEW is going on, if you know what I mean. New classes, new jobs, new people, new parties... I thought I would start something new as well and create a new blog where I'll post about whatver ish I come across in my life. Let's see how long it last. A wise woman once told me, "Everyone should read or write something everyday of his/her life." I believed her. And you should believe me when I say she was right.

But as I said, a lot has happened in my life and all over the world.

For starters, we have a black president here in America. Wow. As much as I never doubted the possibility, since I might as well be a walking PR campaign for Adidas, it surely wasn't in the forefront of my mind.

Secondly, we lost one of the great, and underrated actors of our generation in Heath Ledger. Many will attribute his recent acclaim to his untimely death, but I disagree. Those who haven't seen some of his other work should have a look.

Early on in 08' we watched the Patriots lose in the Superbowl to the New York "FOOTBALL" Giants who played their hearts out for 60 minutes. I didn't like it, in fact, I was kinda pissed, but everything happens for a reason. Congrats to them, but look out for the return of Tom "Golden Boy" Brady in the 09-10 season.

Lil Wayne was "a beast, a dog, and a muthafuckin problem" in the music game this year and gained the respect of many who thought he was only a "fad". Mad props to Kanye as well. A lot of people don't like his new style for 808's and Heartbreak, but I was impressed. If you ever read this, good work kid. ^_^

Shout out to Rob Bates for placing in the Red Bull Big Tune beat battle competition as well. Proud of you bro.

A lot is is going on, and there's lots more to come. But I like to look at the present--live in the now. So I'm leaving you with a work that not a lot of people have read by Max Ehrman. It can be read as a piece of advice, just a good read or a whole new philosophy of living if it touches you like that. Take it however you please. I just found it really interesting and want to share it with anyone who's reading.

I for one, am one of those people better at giving advice than following my own; but I'm working to change that.

I hope you enjoy it and my other post in the future.
